Intro into the world of *MY* HR

The Human Resources Department - the heart of the organisation, where policies and procedures are born, where equality and diversity are the primary focus, where we work so hard, OH SO HARD, to adhere to them, where we boast about giving every single individual an equal and fair opportunity.

Now that we are past the concept of what a HR Department SHOULD be like, I'll get down to what MY HR Department actually is like.

Having first started in HR I was so overwhelmed with joy - it was new, it was exciting, it was a completely undiscovered field for me. And I welcomed the challenge of exploring and mastering every aspect of it with open arms.

The joy did not last long, and I was soon absorbed into a world of disappointment, battered by unscrutinised hipocrism, my calls for help and support have fallen on deaf ears, and the enourmous scale of favoritism was not at all in my favour.

Working for one of the biggest and well-known public sector organisations in the UK, one would think that every effort to stay squeeky clean and give the best possible image out to the general public is being made. Guess again! One could not be more wrong. The organisation is crippled with lack of discipline, morale and sound and sensible decision making.

In short, it is more likely than not that my blog is going to be filled with "after work rage" posts, recaps on emotional break down moments, and just randomest (more like the most retarded and embarrassing) endeavours that go on in a HR Department on a daily basis (that the general public is not always aware of but should know about).
